Saperia Dreams Organization, Inc's (501(C)(3) "Baking Therapy Program" is hosted by Suga Mamas Treats. The mission is to shed light on the concerns of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders among children, teens, and young adults through creative arts and culinary therapy with professional pastry chefs, board-certified therapists, and volunteers (internship).

WHY BAKING, YOU ASK?

Baking makes you happy; it's a coping mechanism and a stress reliever. It helps build self-esteem, patience, concentration, social and life skills, and opens your creative mind. Culinary arts integration, STEAM education & Play Therapy are natural fits. Baking therapy teaches children to follow directions and develop math skills and science concepts. Boost range skills, communication, and more.

VISION:

To identify and treat mental health disorders for underprivileged communities, including early childhood, ensuring every child (in and aged out foster youth and displaced) has a chance to develop and succeed to their full potential.

GOAL

To rebuild self-esteem, social skills, life skills, interpersonal skills, academic and mental health illness across systems through referrals, collaborations, and partnerships.

COULD YOUR CHILD BENEFIT FROM THERAPY?

Sprinkles & Batter Baking Therapy Program assists 6-24 years old's who may be struggling with mental health issues. This hands-on-4-week program is one day a week for 3 hours each day. Each class will learn about kitchen safety, mixing and baking cakes from scratch and mix frosting, the importance of hygiene, building self-esteem through affirmations, and group and individual therapy. Therapy sessions are personalized to accommodate each person's needs with our professional, certified therapists and social workers.
